Accessibility & Inclusivity
Core to our commitment is enabling people with a disability to participate fully in any aspects of our organisation. For our consumers this means enabling them to have equal access to our products and services and for our team members or potential team members this means enabling them to participate equally in every stage of the employment cycle.

Inclusive Recruitment
We are an equal opportunity workplace, and this commitment extends to ensuring we are providing an accessible and inclusive recruitment & selection process to enable all people, across race, gender, age, religion, identity, experience, and those coming with visible and /or non-visible disability to participate fully.
Hanes is committed to becoming a Disability Confident organisation that understands the importance of providing every candidate with an equitable recruitment experience. Our recruitment & selection practices support a barrier-free process for people with disability. We commit to ensuring everyone can perform at their best: if a person requires a workplace adjustment, at any point in the recruitment & selection process we will review and accommodate where possible. We provide training for our recruitment team and hiring managers on disability-confident recruitment practices.

AIM Network (Access and Inclusion Movement)
The Access & Inclusion Movement Network’s (or AIM’s) purpose is to “drive initiatives for an inclusive workplace, raising awareness together for those with disabilities, hidden or otherwise, to have a voice and a platform to connect”
Our tagline – Elevating Access Together.
AIM is an employee-led group who sit alongside the Accessibility and Inclusivity steering committee. They act as advocates for those living with a disability within Hanes and assist in removing barriers, misconceptions and educate our people so we can start to eliminate any unconscious discrimination which may exist.
All AIM members are passionate about accessibility and inclusivity for people living with disability. They might be living with disability themselves, supporting someone who lives with disability, have lived experience with friends or family who have a disability, or are advocates for people with disability.
Focus Workspaces
In 2025 our AIM Network created Focus Workspaces in our Kew & Pyrmont Support Offices. These spaces are a low-sensory, interruption free workspace for deep focus away from the open office environment. Think similar to a Quiet Carriage in a train – where people can be working in a focused quiet space with reduction of sensory stimulus. These were designed with principles for people living with neurodivergence or sensory sensitivities and are available to all team members.
Q&A with Caleb
Caleb, Pyrmont office barista
AimBig helped me on my job search. I've had two other barista roles previously before getting my current role at Hanes.
How did you find the process?
Everyone was really helpful, I transitioned into the role very easily and felt very welcome. I was given a tour of the office and got to help figure out a good spot for the coffee machine with the support of my job coach. Overall the process was quick and easy which I really liked.
What's your favourite part about your role and working at Hanes?
Getting to meet and talk to lots of new people all the time. I like making coffees for the friends I've made and get to hear about their day-to-day. I've also enjoyed having the chance to set up systems and routines that work for me in my role, I feel like my own boss a little bit!
Would you recommend Hanes as a great place to work and why?
Yes I would, I like the people and that the donations our coffees go to is a good cause.
Do you have any advice for anyone with a disability who's starting a new job?
Be happy and open to feedback, I always ask if anything I'm doing can be improved so I can do the best job possible.
